About Me

I simply love receiving schwag from all the big search engines, social media sites, trade shows, and conferences. Anything geeky, nerdy, or fun you'll find it here. This blog is created and maintained by ePromos Promotional Products, Inc.

Another Laptop Sleeve

Via Nerd Approved

I know, this is yet another post about a custom laptop case– but admit it, this is cool! It looks just like an old envelope, which I just think is neat. It even has stickers and stamps on it to make it look like an authentic piece of mail. It’s undercover!

Eco Geek Chic

Via Gadget Lab

This custom USB drive is made out of paper (recycledpaper), so it’s an eco-friendly way to be high tech. It’s also really cool because it turns into origami. The guys over at Gadget Lab speculate that it’ll be a popular trade show giveaway on all counts because its high tech, eco-friendly, unique, and has a large imprint area. All of your company information can be printed on the paper for the drive, and then it gets folded down– so just your logo will show. Sounds like the makings of a great trade show giveaway to me!

R2D2 For the Bathroom

Of all the Star Wars characters, I think R2D2 has been embodied in promotional products more than any other. Most recently, he’s been turned into a tissue dispenser– but not the nose kind, if you catch my drift. The real R2D2 could do so many different things (he’d probably be able to spray air freshener, too), so I guess it’s no wonder they’ve managed to turn his likeness into any kind of project imaginable.

NES Business Card Holders!

Just when I thought they couldn’t possibly make another NES-shaped-holder, I saw this, in all of it’s glory, on Gadget Lab: a NES business card holder. While it’s less high-tech than the cell phone case or the laptop sleeve, it’s still awesome. I’m glad to see I’m not the only one with tons of NES love in her heart after all of these years!

Geek Lamp

Via Gadget Lab

This is a really neat custom lamp– it’s a reading lamp that turns off once a book is placed on it, eliminating the need to get out of bed to turn out the light. The bulb is especially designed to not get too hot, so you don’t have to worry about potentially burning your house down by doing this. Considering I read in bed until I really can’t keep my eyes open any longer, this gadget seems pretty sweet. Now if only there was an invention that would pull my blanket up and tuck me in, my laziness could be complete.

Mix Stix

Via Gadget Lab

Are you tired of you’re same boring kitchen utensils or of listening to your same old CDs while you cook? There is a solution! These Mix Stix are normal wooden spoons whose ends can be used as drumsticks to allow for your musical and culinary creative juices to flow at the same time. Just grab a bowl and you’re set to eat– or compose a symphony, whichever you choose.

Old Moneybags

These custom wallets, available at Etsy, are made from old money bags. It’s a pretty neat way to turn something old into something new, and they’re eco-friendly– after all, isn’t that what recycling is all about? The wallets have a billfold and card pockets, so you won’t need a separate business card holder. All that’s missing is a little toy figurine of the Monopoly man– Mr. Moneybags.

Old School Cell Phone Case

Via Geeky Gadgets

Just the other day I posted about a laptop sleeve that was designed to look like an old school NES controller, and now I’m happy to report that they’ve come out with a cell phone case as well. I feel as though the case needs some kind of strap (that looks like the cord!) or keyring attached so that you can keep track of the case.

Old School Laptop Sleeve

I was reading Gizmodo the other day and they featured this custom laptop case for netbooks that looks like a NES controller. It makes me want to get a netbook just so I can get this cool case for it. Since I don’t though, I guess I’ll just have to settle for some kind of promotional keychain to rock some old school NES gear.

Burning Darth Vadar

Look at what’s going to be available for purchase at ComicCon– a Star Wars promotional toaster!. The same post from Underwire also mentions something about a cookie jar. The Star Wars franchise has probably produced more schwag than any other, and a lot of it seems to be food-themed– I read just the other day that a R2D2 lunchbox sold for over $1,000 on eBay!
