This custom USB drive is made out of paper (recycledpaper), so it’s an eco-friendly way to be high tech. It’s also really cool because it turns into origami. The guys over at Gadget Lab speculate that it’ll be a popular trade show giveaway on all counts because its high tech, eco-friendly, unique, and has a large imprint area. All of your company information can be printed on the paper for the drive, and then it gets folded down– so just your logo will show. Sounds like the makings of a great trade show giveaway to me!

Look at what’s going to be available for purchase at ComicCon– a Star Wars promotional toaster!. The same post from Underwire also mentions something about a cookie jar. The Star Wars franchise has probably produced more schwag than any other, and a lot of it seems to be food-themed– I read just the other day that a R2D2 lunchbox sold for over $1,000 on eBay!

The idea of a staple-less stapler seems a bit peculiar don’t you think?

This is a great addition to a corporate office gift basket that you might be creating for your employees for the holidays or a corporate giveaway at your next conference. Not to mention this stapler produces less waste; due to the use of weaving instead of metal staples to link pages together, the “stapled” documents with the staple-less stapler are easier to recycle, which is a great fact to know for the practical and environmentally conscious recipient!

Remember those days before email when communication sometimes required (gasp) hand written messages? Thanks to this Paper E-mail notepad from ThinkGeek you can return to the past without having to completely disregard your email-centric habits. This notepad is laid out in email format, complete with a box for CC-ing your message. Promotional notepads make great schwag for web and tech trade shows alongside some novelty pens.

This is the convention tote bag they handed out at the South by Southwest Austin convention this March. With a plastic bag ban being proposed in Arlington, this would double as a pretty nice Texas-themed reusable shopping bag.

Drupal is a pretty cool open source content management system, and they have a cool logo. Put those things together and it’s not too surprising to see that they have really cool shirts to give out at their developer’s conference.
